Action for the A406

Problems with the North Circular.

For more than 40 years the problems of the A406 North Circular Road have blighted Palmers Green and New Southgate. Traffic chaos is coupled with run down or derelict housing which makes that part of Enfield look deprived and uncared for. I am determined to resolve this problem. Ken Livingstone's plans for the A406 will not tackle the issues. That part of the A406 needs to be properly upgraded just as it has been elsewhere. Enfield needs more family sized homes and so many of the derelict houses need to be brought back into use. Those that are so beyond economic repair need to be knocked down so that high quality housing can be built which will make this gateway to Enfield look so much better.
